I am working on create a simple tool on access to let users read and make updates to a dataset. The source of this information is on sa SQL server table. Hence I would like to connect SQL server table as linked connection to MS Access and build a form on top of it for users to update the information.

I was able to create a DSN connection in the system ODBC data sources 32-bit and get the table linked to the MS Access DB. I have crated various forms required and saved the DB. I was able to make the ncessary changes.

When I send this file to users to opena nd mkae updates they are getting an error that says "Run-time error '3151': ODBC - connection to 'My datasource' failed. I am assuming this could be because I have the DSN on my system.

Is there a way to bundle it along with the database so that users do not get this error. Can you please advise if there is a better solution for this using MS access as a front end and SQL as a backend database.

I think not so much the DSN but more like the users need to have the ODBC client installed on their machine.
