Hello,

we are facing a weird issue where the app is distorted when it loads on the browser. The URL formed when we click the app from site content is http://xyz-guid.<appdomain>.com which seems to be correct. It was observed that the file "corev15app.css" is not getting loaded as the URL http://xyz-guid.<appdomain>.com:9090 shows up in developer tools. (Actual URL is http://xyz-guid.<appdomain>.com:9090/_layouts/15/1033/styles/corev15app.css?rev=zuVbsgCb8FoNMkaQ3BfMXg%3D%3D) and as it is not present in port 9090, hence we see the distortion of the app.

The reason why we are seeing the port number 9090 is that we have a routing web application hosted on port 9090 and not on port 80.

Is it mandatory to host the routing web application at port 80 and cannot be hosted on any other port? if it can be hosted on any other port, how can i fix the issue?

You could host add-in web in other port as you want.

To use the style sheet in a SharePoint Add-in, follow these steps:+

1. Create the provider-hosted SharePoint Add-in..
2. Force the add-in web provisioning by creating a blank page.
3. Add a webpage to the web project, and reference the style sheet.
4. Edit the element in the add-in manifest.
