Hi, I created Project Schedule where all tasks have Constraint Type As Soon As Possible, Fixed Duration, NO Effort driven. Each task has predecessor previous task. Task duration is correctly reflects difference between Task Finish and Task Start Date. Schedule looks good until I added Resources. I want to add Resources for information purposes only and I do not want any Resource leveling or any Resource manipulation. As soon as I added a Resource to my schedule it screw up. Task duration is not difference between Task Finish and Start Date anymore. Please advise.  Thank you so much.

Hi,

I suggest to use the contact field for this purpose. You cannot pick up from the resource list, but you can enter resource names without impacting your schedule. Another way would be to create a task custom field with a lookup table containing the resource list.
