I'm currently working on an embedded based set top box. When syspreping the unit, it always creates a new user account. Is there a way of stoping the creation of a new user account and having the system default to the user account I've already built?

Do you mean its tendency to blow away the account used for audit mode? That is by design and you shouldn't expect it to survive.
