Appendix IV is required for TC3.9.1 & TC3.3.1.

Our application is a COM+ application and requires COM+ Network Access which is currently installed and enabled on the test machine.

When following the setups in Appendix IV one of the steps is to accept the current installed roles and features.

The server roles to are selected by default do not check off Remote COM+ even though it is installed and enabled on our system.

When running SCW Viewer it states that Remote COM+ is installed but disabled. I can confirm this is not correct since at the time our application is functioning properly.

Is it a problem if we select non-defaults for the server roles and features in our to allow the application to operate with this security policy applied?

Each application’s settings in SCW will be unique.

When going through the Security Configuration Wizard, it is acceptable to select non-defaults. Be aware that when a selection is not available, or app feature is not functioning, many times it is because a feature or role is not completely installed. Keep in mind that you also should not enable any more features or roles than are necessary for the application to function.
