Good afternoon -

I'm fairly new to using Visio and have been trying to create a display that will pull updated metrics from various spreadsheets.  I currently have 4 projects that are maintained by different individuals and my goal is to link to each of these spreadsheets to provide a snapshot of where they each stand at a given time.  I've looked through a few tutorials and lurked through some forums but can't find a solution to my problem:  Whenever I link my data from my excel sheet everything shows up exactly how I want it to.  The data being linked to specifically has a cell that has an average calculation in it (AVERAGE(B:B)).  If I change any of the data in Column B of my spreadsheet, which then changes that Average cell, then hit refresh on my visio sheet I lose linkage to my spreadsheet and get the error that the shape was linked to rows removed from the data source.  Is there something simple that I'm missing?

Hi,

Please confirm if any row is deleted when you changed any of the data in Column B. Also make sure your linked data have a unique identifier.

Generally, if the unique identifier changes in the data source before you refresh the drawing, the Refresh Data command may not be able to match the correct row with its corresponding shape. For the reported error, please confirm if the error can be located to specific shapes which linked to the data. Check the error shape and linked data to narrow down the specific cause.

If possible, please provide a screenshot or sample (Excel workbook and linked data) for better analysis.
