It's there any way to custom what control to be viewed in LightSwitch default AddandEditNew screen, like change auto complete combo box into Modal Windows Picker.

If you don't want a tab window, you can also add a modal control in your list/grid screen. Drag the collection's "Selected Item" to the screen & change it's type to "Modal Window". By default, there's a button to activate it, but there's also a setting to hide the button, so you can open & close the modal window in code.
