I'm trying to gauge whether LightSwitch (LS) or SilverLight (SL) is even an option for a new application that I need to start shortly. I need to be able to create an application that will work in an offline/online fashion on both Windows/Mac laptops. Sales reps need to do data entry in locations without web access, and later be able to push that data to a central database. I'm seeing conflicting comments specifically about whether the above is possible for the Mac OS (OSX). It seems that it should be possible now that Silverlight 4 is available on the Mac, but I'm not at all sure that's the case. It seems the story with OSX tends to focus on browser access exclusively. Could someone please help me answer this question?
