Hello,
I just installed the MS Commerce 2007 developer edition. The machine has Windows Server 2003 SP1, IIS 6 and SQL Server 2005 Standard SP2.
The configuration wizard was run. Service accounts have been created.
The next step in the guide is to Unpack the CSharp site. However, when I double click on the CSharp.pup file I get the following error (#1):

"An error has occurred (80004005): [DBNETLIB][ConnectionWrite (send()).] General network error. Check your network documentation."

I get the same error if I navigate into programs/MS Commerce Server 2007/Tools/Site Packager

Furthermore, If I try to open the Commerce Server Manager I get this error (#2):

"Could not connect to the Commerce Server Administration database. Please make sure you have configured Commerce Server by running the Configuration Wizard.
If you have already configured your server, verify that the Administration database connection string settings are correct. To adjust the settings, right click on the Commerce Server Manager root node, then click properties. To verify settings, right click on the Commerce Server Manager root node, then click Refresh."

This error appears three times (after hitting the OK button) and then I get an error (#3):

"MMC cannot initialize the snap-in"

At the end I end up with the Management Console showing the Commerce Server Manager root. If I click on it, I get again error#2.


Does anyone have any idea on how to solve this?
