If I try and start from the command line with net start idsvc i get:

I am running Windows Vista SP1.

The application worked for a short time.  I created a card as an experiment and forgot about it.  Sometime later I noticed error messages in my Event Viewer.

 

Faulting application infocard.exe, version 3.0.4506.648, time stamp 0x470dacfe, faulting module KERNEL32.dll, version 6.0.6001.18000, time stamp 0x4791ada5, exception code 0xe0434f4d, fault offset 0x000000000002649d, process id 0x%9, application start time 0x%10.

 

For now i have disabled the service.  Since I don't use this right now it isn't a huge deal for me.  But it gnaws at me knowing it's not working properly.  My standard solution would be to reinstall the OS, since I'm not an expert.  If I can get this service working without such a drastic action I would prefer it.

As an aside, I also installed .NET 3.5 after the problems started to see if it would have an effect.  It didn't help.
