If you change a file in your project outside of VS (with Notepad for example) then VS quite rightly spots it and lets you know that the version on your screen is not the same as the one on disk. It also offers you the chance to use the later disk based version.

If you are not expecting this, then you need to look for what is changing the file, and stop it doing it! :laugh:
