In our office we have several dragonboards running IoT Core which often get newly flashed. The problem is, that they will all get the default "minwinpc" name again after reflashing.

We want all of the devices to automatically get a unique name on first startup, so it's easy for us to connect to them (so we don't need an IP, a name is easier to type).

We have a "preprovisiondevice.cmd" which we use to set the hostname on first startup, which works fine so far. What I wanted to do is to get the MAC Address of the device as a unique identifier and use a hash table to map the MAC addresses to device names. However, the MAC address seems to change with every reflashing (it's not read from the hardware, but generated..).
