I'm just having a look at Encoder 4 as a possible solution for generating User Guide Videos.

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to create captions automatically so when I click on a link in  a web browser it gives an instruction in the video to say "Click on the **** Link"?

Adding captions is supported and isn't too difficult. In encoder at the bottom of the screen is a pane that shows all your media files. There are three tabs, Media Content, Text, and Activity Log. Import a media file, select it in MediaContent then select the 'Text' tab. Click on the + symbol next to the media files name to import caption files. You can add multiple languages and captions here. You could also enter/import captions as script commands.
