Hi, I am new to setup Microsoft Team environment. I have TFS and Test Controller installed on one server in domain (IP 192.168.0.x), then I am trying to use Test Manager on my local machine to view this test controller. My local machine is not in the domain, it's IP is 192.168.100.x, however, it connects to TFS without any problem.

My problem is the Lab Manager keeps telling me this controller is unusable (or not available), even I can see the controller name listed.

I checked the services running on server, they are all going. I also have added my TFS user account to the TeamTestControllerUsers group.

Have you registered your controller with a teamproject collection.  If you want to register your test controller with your Team Foundation Server project collection, the account that you use for the test controller service must be a member of the [Project Collection]\Project Collection Test Service Accounts group, or the account that you use to run the test controller configuration tool must be a member of the Project Collection Administrators group.

Also, do you have any test agents configured with the test controller.
