I'm currently working on a SharePoint project where I want to associate a file type (.MyDocument extension) with a custom open, edit and new action. I figured that I needed a Custom Content Type for that. So I created a Visual Studio SharePoint Add-In solution (VS2015 w/ office developer tools) and tried to publish the app. But, unfortunate, no custom content-type showing up in SharePoint. I do have created a custom menu item action, and that works fine.

I've debugged my issue and I found out that the published .app file does not contain the Content Type Elements file. I verified that the content type is in the Feature.

I created a SharePoint hosted add-in with a content type, then deploy it to the developer site.

然后我提取.app文件，看它包含[Content_Types] .xml。

And then I extract .app file and see it contains the [Content_Types].xml.
