I'm trying to use the last value function to select the last value in the previous column and enter it in the same row in the end column.  As per above, column D value for column B row equals A's last value, column D for column C equals B's last value.  The problem arises as I am trying to take the first previous non blank cell going up the column not the last non blank in the column (usually the bottom).  Not sure if this is even possible?

Hi Brett.  Your wording is a bit confusing here.  I assume you are talking about Excel, right?  Is this COM interop to a .NET app or something else?

It sounds like you are looking to locate the value in the bottom-most cell of each of the columns between A and C, then place that value in the corresponding row into the D column.  So using your sample data there would be three values written to the D column in their respective rows:  59 from cell A:1; 3 from Cell B:25; & 77 from cell C:33.  Is this right?
