I am having trouble finding guidance on how to do this.  Do I need to update the process template to accomplish this or is there a way to update the sprint board directly.  If you could point me to an article, channel 9 video or any other tutorial that would be great.  thx.

We have an on-prem installation of TFS 2017.

Also - How can I tell from the version number if we have service pack 1 installed?

Any other info for TFS 2017 would be helpful as well.

Hi tmon332,

You cannot add columns to Sprint/Iteration backlog boards. This is only possible in PBI/User Story backlog boards or in Feature Backlog boards. However, if you introduce a new state to task work items by customizing the templates you can have additional columns in Sprint/Iteration backlog.
