Hi Sanjeev,

I do not think you will face any issue using Git version control for TFS. There is not much gap between the two implementations. Recently lot of improvement made to Git version control support in VSTS/TFS and you will have almost everything you have on TFVC. Some additional capabilities like auto generating build release pipelines targeting Azure, using continuous delivery tools is only available when using Git version control (http://chamindac.blogspot.com/2017/05/auto-generating-cd-buildrelease.html). So you have more capabilities in some cases with Git + TFS.
