I have an MPP file that I want to re-use.  It was originally on a project server and had metadata like customer name field, project health field.

I want to re-use the same tasks for another customer, but keep the file locally.

I can't seem to find a way to remove that global metadata from the local MPP file.  I don't want to upload it to a server to change it, and I have some macros that I don't want to use if I had to copy/paste to a new blank file.

Assuming you meant to say that you have some macros that you don't want to lose, you could use the Organizer to copy the macros to a new file.
