We have got a VB6 exe but not able to locate the source code. Looking for recommendation for free software to decompile VB code. I have got one called vb_decompiler_lite but the free version doesn't help much.

First of all, this forum is not for vintage VB. 

Before persons start shouting it is not allowed what you do. That depends where you live, in the EU for instance is allowed if you cannot reach (and can proof to have done real attempts)  the owner of rights for the program. 

However, it is senseless. It cost you probably more than to write down what the program does and make a new one with VB.Net. 

It is so much easier and so much faster programming than with Vintage VB. 

Don't think that when your program is decompiled it is readable. It consist probably in all kind not undertandable sentences for which you need the same documentation as if you had made it new.  

I don't advice you to visit a vintage VB forum, there you will hear that working with vintage VB is wonderful. Somebody wrote already in 2002 in the newsgroup from VB7 that he would scream is they pulled him back on his hairs to VB6 again. And with current VB it is so much easier than in those days of VB7. Don't forget we are now at version VB14.

Beside that needs programming with Version 6 a licence while there is for version 14 a freeware version.
