Either I'm missing something extremely simple or I've not done something correctly.   I have a solution file that has many other projects referenced in it stored in VSS.  When I attempt to open the solution file in VS 2010, the software first converts the solution from VS 2008 to VS 2010 however once the solution file is opened only the 'start' project is shown in the solution explorer.  Why do all the other projects that are referenced in the original solution file not appear and how do I get them back into the same layout as previously.  (ie. solution file, referenced project files beneith the solution file in the explorer)  If I try and add existing projects to the solution it adds them in the converted start project, not actually to the solution file.

I updated my solution with multi projects from VS2008 to VS2010, I tried many times, but I still could not reproduce your issue. So I don’t know the reason for your failing to update.

I think you have to add the projects manually.

I try and add existing projects to the solution it adds them in the converted start project, not actually to the solution file.

Are you sure that it adds existing projects to the converted start project?

Because you are not able to add a project to a project, you could only add a project to a solution. How did you add you project? Do you use right click the solution, click “Add”, then select “Existing project”?
