I'm trying to debug a bit of code that is using the ClientFormsAuthenticationMembershipProvider which is in System.Web.Extensions.dll, but am getting only the disassembly option.  I am able to successfully step into System.Web.dll types though, such as the Membership class.  The error I'm seeing in the output window is as follows:

SRCSRV: Source server cannot retrieve the source code for file 'f:\dd\ndp\fx\src\xsp\System\Web\Extensions\ClientServices\Providers\ClientFormsAuthenticationMembershipProvider.cs' in module 'C:\Windows\assembly\GAC_MSIL\System.Web.Extensions\3.5.0.0__31bf3856ad364e35\System.Web.Extensions.dll'. The directory or file cannot be created.


Can someone please explain what the problem is here.  Is this complaining about creating a directory on my local machine?

Install ASP.NET 2.0 Ajax Extentions  1.0 will resolve your problem. you dont have system.web.extensions.dll intalled on you computer this installer will install this file and resolve your problem
