Hello Jay，

Hi, I have been able to encode videos and watch them online with a 2008 server with IIS7 with media services with no problems. Its only when i use the security feature to add playready DRM license in EE4 and press encode, then go to play and i keep getting this error, that reads:

"Could not open media file /BigbuckBunny_2962.ism/Manifest. Requires output to be hosted on a web server running IIS 7.0 with smooth streaming installed and a silverlight template that supports smooth streaming/ 3222 An error has occurred.

I'm not generating and key from the security feature section just adding what a 3rd party company gave to add in there, which was the License URL, Key ID and Tree seed.

Hello Jay,

This behavoir is actually expected. When you have DRM video content, the player needs to contact the hosting server to get permission to play. I would make certain that the 3rd party you mentioned is using playready drm as if they aren't there could be issues in playing back your media.

I suggest adding a template to your media from encoder. These templates are coded to work with playready drm. Please let me know if you still have playback issues when using one of those player templates.
