Hi, I am a Graphic Designer and am using Expression Blend to create an application, I haven't however figured out how to use the effects on Blend, i see that there are some effects available that i would love to use, but for example when i draw a rectangle and want to use the drop shadow effect it doesn't seem to work (the drop shadow layer in Objects and Timeline panel seems to be invisible and can'te be turned to visible), Can one actually use the effects? what am i missing? If one can't use the why they are there?

Ok, i can see the effect now, but it onyl shows when i run the project not in the work window, and i can only seem to be able to use one effect at a time, is this correct? is this how the effects work? (not being able to see them while working but only while running the project and only being able to apply one effect) Thank you.
