I've played a bit with the Manual test runner in the "Executing Manual Tests" walkthrough and gone a little further (sorry). If I associate an automated test with the test case (via TFS as camano seems to be disabled in that respect), mark the automation status as "automated" and attempt to re-run it, the manual test runner comes back with a warning "no test cases marked as pending" and bails out. The result against the test run is also set to completed and can't be reset.

Is running automated tests planned to be handled some other way with Camano? If so what is the purpose of the blue "Automation Available" cog icon in the Manual Test Runner pane? To kick off a previous (automation strip?) recording and allow you to fast forward execution of the test case?  Am I not meant to mix manual automated tests within a test run?

The automation icon in MTR is just for the automation strips. 

We do plan to support executing automated tests from Camano but that will be through the controller and agent and will have a slightly different work flow from the Manual test.  The decision about whether or not we are going to have manual and automated in the same run has yet to be made so if you have any feedback on that please let us know.
