I am using TFS 2017, and I've configured a step to execute "Run Functional Tests" with a CodedUI project. And the question is "are there any solutions to get the testing status of the project, for example to get the status if there're any test cases failed to automatically execute next build steps. All should be configured in TFS, and we do not expect any manual steps.

Did you mean you don't want the "Run Functional Tests" step failure to stop the next build step execution? 

Or you want to get the test result in the next build step?

In Build Result Page, you could click Test tab to see all the tests result:
