Welcome to the MSDN Forum and thanks for posting here.

As I know, if we want to add textual notes in edmx designer, we can add it in the property of each entity.

1. Right click the entity in the edmx file.

2. Choose the "Properties"

3. Expand the "Documentation", you will find "Long description" and "Summary"

Then we can add notes there.
