I create a menu flyout with couple of menu items following the link http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/hh465354.aspx. The flyout will show a down arrow in the bottom of the flyout and it shows black color. Now I want to change its color but I cannot find where. I redefined .win-flyout::after with overwritting border-color but the arrow becomes a retangle. Can somebody help me?

I created a blank application and put the code from the article you referenced into the application.  I do not see any arrows.  Can you describe what you are seeing and how you got it?
