I have set up Service Hooks on TFS (On-premise TFS 2015) to send notifications every time someone checks in code into our source control. I have a simple web application which listens for HTTP posts from the server every time some one checks in. The processing on the web application is very efficient and performs reasonable well when I mock the HTTP request through PostMan rest client. But the actually live posts from the TFS server are delayed. And not by a short time but by like 24 hours at most. These requests process really slow. And this defeating the propose of having the hooks set up, because these hooks are supposed to flag invalid check ins. Has anyone experienced this type of problem? Is it a queue delay on the TFS side of things? And does setting up many web hooks affect the performance of the hooks? e.g Having like 4 checkin event service hooks? I really think this is a bug and is out of my control or is there steps that I can take to improve the performance of the request i am expecting?
