Hi, 

We have upgraded from TFS 2015 update 3 to TFS 2017 RTM and have updated our build agent to 2.105.7 running on windows 10 x64 machine. The repository uses tfvc and the clean drop down is set to false, there are no custom clean variables in the variables list. But since updating to TFS2017 the build agent completely reloads the repository each time the build runs. Is this a known issue with 2017 ?

Thank you for posting here.

I tried the build agent same as yours (2.105.7) in my side and it worked OK.

Have you tried to create a new build definition with clean dropdown set to false and check it again? Please try it if not. make sure no custom clean variables in the variables list.

If the problem stills exist, please post the build log file here.
