Content wise all these courses have a lot in common.

Also, To become a successful software engineer, you need passion and dedication more than any degree. I have seen people from Chemistry background rising upto solution architect level and they started programming from the grass root level.

But, to be pragmatic in Indian scenario. I lot of organizations do consider the degree names while hiring people. I have been in the industry for almost 8 years now and i have been on both ends of the recruitment table. So if I have to select one option from the above list, I would go for Computer Engineering.

Why is this prefered:

1. First of all quality of assessment and course contents is better.
2. Some companies desire a 16 year education for graduation (12 + 4).
3. Comparatively better teachers.
4. Lot of opportunities for campus recruitment.
5. Last but not the lease, People''s mindset.
