straightforward but ...
My upgrade proces assume creating clone with new hostname from production full DB backup. VM tfs2013-> new VM tfs 2015, production server have to stay online. Full backup data for New server was created by TfsManager job on production server
and is available on network share. On clone VM is modified etc/hosts file to block access production server (dns mapping to nonexisting IP).
My problem is On step "Restore the TFS databases" . From TFS Admin console I run Restore Wizard, list Full Backup, select required Backup Set, readiness checks ends with problems - SQL Accounts errors error, No conflicting database, . In network
monitor I see connections to SQL server on production TFS. this checks fails because of etc/host production server protection.
