I would like to know if there's a way of exporting the volume of a portion of the frame (possibly the player figure) using the kinect fusion algorithm.

This is not supported by the API. You can use Import/ExportVolumeBlock to export segments of the data, but it isn't much use since the data block is not supported external to Kinect Fusion. Your only option is to use the vertex/index data or implement something on the point cloud(Depth) data.
