I tried to assign the "ALL RESTRICTED APPLICATION PACKAGES" privilege to a file manually and programmatically. Both failed because windows doesn't understand what "ALL RESTRICTED APPLICATION PACKAGES" is. This privilege exists for all files under "Program Files". Can someone please explain what this privilege is for, and how do I assign it to an arbitrary file ?

Also given a PID, is there anyway for me to work out the associated process requires the "ALL RESTRICTED APPLICATION PACKAGES" privilege ? I noticed that the Window 10 start menu requires the privilege when it is running inside an AppContainer. However it doesn't required the privilege when it is not running inside an AppContainer. Most of the time the start menu has no AppContainer. It appears to have an AppContainer randomly.

What I mean by running inside an AppContainer is that the App has ApplicationFrameHost.exe as its parent. Usually the Windows 10 Start Menu has no parent. But sometimes it does. In contrast, other normal UWP Apps always have ApplicationFrameHost.exe as their parent.
