I received following error message today when opening the product backlog view:

I found out that all the new Product Backlog Items created today are missing the Backlog Priority number. Backlog Priority number is according to my knowledge a system generated number and cannot be created or edited by the user.

Based on the above error message, it seems to be that the problem is related to the missing Backlog Priority number? Backlog view is trying to order the items based on the Backlog Priority number and failing since there are empty values or something similar.

Just for clarification I would like to know you are using VSTS or TFS?

If you are using TFS you must configure the features after the upgrade. Here is the link which gives you the information for Configure the Features upgrade which might help you.

As per my knowledge Certain work item types (WITs) and categories are required for the wizard to configure a feature. If you have renamed or deleted any of these WITs or categories, the wizard will return the following messages.
