Hello all,

This is a major roadblock for us and your response would be much appreciated.

We have solution that sends live data to a Silverlight client. We need to overlay the images from teh Silverlight client on top of an existing video and encode it into a new video.

The idea is to capture the Silverlight screen into an encoded video. For example, if there was a video about the stock market and we had all the data dynamically shown in our Silverlight and then wanted to overylay our data on top of teh video and create a new video. The new video then would be posted in Youtube.

The most important part is that we need to do it dynamically and within the development suite and not externally and with external application.

Depending on exactly what you want, you may be able to use the overlay feature in EE.  It will accept XAML files as an overlay format.  It uses WPF to render so i don't know if you can the exact results that you want.  You could also try screen capture of the Silverlight output when rendered in the browser but I don't think it will capture the video at the quality or framerate you would want.
