to visually add more then one effect on a single control simply put your control, e.g. a Textblock, into a parent container control, e.g. a Grid. Then add one effect to the parent container control, e.g. a DropShadowEffect, and another one, e.g. a BlurEffect, to the control itself. As a result the Textblock will get both effects.

Using this technique you can add as much effects as you like. You simply have to put the control in a parent container, that you put in a parent container, and so on ... and add an effect to each parent container and to the control itself.
