I have created a desktop application , but whenever someone tries to download the application from the link it shows Unknown publisher issue ,In Visual Studio 2017 when we build a project we get the option of publishing the project  or from the project tab ,Signing the app from there i can create the test certificate, but for that software which is made in Visual Studio 2012 i am not getting any such options for publishing the application  , So my Question is How to add the publisher information to the application ? is there some code to be added ? or is there any way to remove the unknown publisher issue when someone downloads the software .

This is a Windows issue. As far as I know, you cannot add some source code so that the warning disappears.
