We currently running TFS 2015 Update 3 in a production environment and on a test environment (in the same domain). The test environment is used to test changes in templates or update scenario's before we do roll it out on our production environment. For the test scenario's it would be great if we can update the test data (work items, repositories, build definitions, etc) with the data from production before we, for example, doing an test upgrade to TFS 2017. We are thinking that that we only need the collection database for this, are we correct?
