i m having a task to do a web page for payment gateway integration.

1. when customer enters into website, it should ask a unique customer number given to them.

2. when they enter their customer number, it should display their address and all other details which is in our database. (Oracle 9g)

3. if they feel displaying details are related to them, they should press, next and it should redirect to them to the payment gateway merchant website, there after they will take care of the payment.

task:

i have to use API for this.

and have to get the details what they have entered in the page in XML API. it should throw that to payment gateway merchant, and depends on that Customer no, they will do the rest of process.

at last, we will get the customer no, payment they have paid, and their details from the merchant for our official use

please help me in this to create a web API?????? and what to do, where to start..

we are using oracle db, i have to check the customer details using the customer no, what they have entered in the page and have to display the details...
