Our server guy recently applied the 2011 April CU to our QA server and everything seems to be working as planned with PWA, except that the Project Detail Pane on the left side of the page does not seem to be building when a project is open. Everything builds fine on our prod server, but we cannot figure out why this only happens on the page when an actual project is open in PWA. Additionally, there is no "Project" tab at the top of the projects between "Browse" and "Task".

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. We are trying to get the CU pushed to prod so we can resolve some of the issues we're having.

Hi,

I recently patch my demo image to April 2011 CU and haven't seen the issue. I do have some point to troubleshoot:

1. Does it occur on every project? If so it is systemic, rather than project data driven.

2. Have you checked the upgrade logs? Was there an error when applying the update?

3. Did the content db that hosts the PDP's get upgraded successfully? Check in CA to see the db status, it should say Started, and not Upgrading

4. Is the security on the PDP library correct?

5. Are there any errors in the event / ULS logs? If not try cranking Project Server up to Verbose and see what is logged when you go in.
