My product has release builds that go to customer(s), and when we do those builds we label the source tree. We don't want that label to go away - ever. Even if the build is deleted, we still want the label there to get back to the original source code that we shipped to the customer for version X.XX.

OK, now we are moving to Visual Studio Team Services for a build, and I want to keep labels around indefinitely. 

All the documentation implies that the label can be selected to go away when you delete a build, but when we do that the label isn't gone (I checked). 

What can I do in Visual Studio Team Services to make sure those labels aren't deleted, even if the build is deleted?
