Hi,

I understood that you would like to have the ids of the work items starting with 1? The ids shouldn't matter. They are simply unique for all projects inside a collection. So this id is increased with each new work item created in any project.

But the id is something that should not be of interest at all. It is just an id that is required by the system for references.

And AFAIK there is no way to manage the collection. There is an entry on uservoice where people ask for multiple collections which would bring us a way to manage collections, too. But even with such a feature: You simply should not care about the id.
