I have been asked to come up with an "automated" collaboration tool. One that would notify the responsible people that an event has occurred requiring their attention i.e. something has changed generating a corresponding task(s). It needs to track progress through completion and notify all concerned parties when either the task(s) is complete or the status has changed for example it has been handed off to someone else, etc. I am think of suggesting using the task assignment function in Outlook. Any suggestions?
