Hey,

WPF and Silverlight support continuous animation for Color but Brush. What you can do to achieve your effect is have the Background of the Button be a LinearGradientBrush and animate the Color for the Gradient stops to the different Color Resource values. Blend should allow you to animate the Color values to a Color resource value.
