So I ran to a new problem the other day. When trying to log in to MS account starting Visual Studio I get the following error:

The value cannot be null or empty.
Parameter name: value

I have no idea what is it referring to and all the google results show programming related issues with the error text as a search parameter.

You could try with following steps to troubleshoot.

1. Update IE to IE11 and set IE 11 as default browser, then clean up the history data
