We have created several templates with quickpart dropdowns reflecting values in a SP2013 list.
When selected a value in de properties pane or new DIP, it only shows the ID of the value, where preferably it should show the value.  Is there a solution we could implement to fix this ?

As a workaround, to view and edit the value of document properties, you can go to File->Info->Show All Properties->Show Details. Like this:
