hi,  this may be a very simple one but i am hitting my head over it!

i am looking to highlight the next 28 cells along a certain colour if the cell contains a certain letter.

e.g, cell 1 ="O" cells a1:a28 turn blue

i have this working but only if the letter "O" is in the first column (or first column of my range), but i want it to work anywhere in my table

any suggestions?

Say you have range C3:M345. Now If C3=O then C3:C30 should be blue, if D3=O then D3:D30 should be blue.

But if C4=O or K8=O then what it should do ?

If only C3 and 28th cell thereafter will determine the format of rest 27th cell then use below formula.

Say C3 will decide formatting of C3:C30, C31 will decide for C31:C58

=OFFSET(C

3,INT((ROW()-ROW(C

3))/28)*28,0)="O"
