From the project's property page, configured the startup url to navigate to an html which will hit the test js file.

If I use IE or Chrome as the browser, hitting F5 will hit the breakpoint I set in the js file, and I can single-step then.

Exactly the same environment above, switching to Edge won't hit the breakpoint.

Please help! I've been spending several days on this w/o any success.

Thanks for you posting.

It's really a limitation in VS2017, the user voice has been submitted:

It seems VS developing team still hasn't made Edge fully supported yet, you could also go to Help-> Send Feedback -> Provide a suggestion to report this issue to VS developing team directly:
