I want to transfer an arbitrary file (say a PDF file) from my PC to an external device (like a flash) with a predefined API and then paste at back somewhere else. I can send each time  at most 256 bytes per transfer. I want to know what functions should be used to read the data correctly. And what other information of the file should be saved to the device to return it back successfully.(Just as a question does Microsoft have a MSD or something like this which can control a nand flash storage device through USB interface?)

Most flash drives and other memory cards are formatted with a file system supported by Windows. So you just need to create a file in the memory card and copy the data the same way as if you were copying to some other disk drive. If your situation is different then you need to explain. Is the memory card formatted differently? If so then you need to know what that is. Where does the number "256" come from? Why do you say that?
